Roy
Ching
Roy practices civil and commercial litigation and family law. Roy began his career as a litigation attorney in 1997. Roy spent the first two years of his practice at a boutique law firm exclusively practicing family law. Roy then moved on to other firms and expanded his practice to include both civil and commercial litigation, and continued to handle family law matters throughout his career. Prior to forming this law practice in 2001, Roy managed civil, commercial and family law litigation matters for a multi-national firm.
In his over 12 years of experience, Roy has successfully resolved scores of contested matters. He has effectively represented clients in state and Federal courts, in U.S. Patent and Trademark Office proceedings, Division of Labor Standards Enforcement and U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission investigations and proceedings, and in binding arbitrations administered through the court, the American Arbitration Association, the National Association of Securities Dealers and the International Chamber of Commerce. He is well versed in taking a litigated matter from start to end. His experience includes extensive motion practice, numerous mediations, as well as bench and jury trials.
Over the years, Roy has represented companies in a broad spectrum of industries, including cosmetics, investments, consulting, manufacturing, including for semi-conductor chips and computer hardware, software, and others. Roy has also handled lawsuits and disputes dealing with a wide array of subject matters, including contract disputes, trademark infringement and other intellectual property related claims, employment discrimination and wage claims, and fraud claims and other tort claims in a variety of settings, whether between shareholders or business partners or spouses in a divorce.
Roy is proud of what he has been able to accomplish for his clients. Whether the issue is trademark infringement, or custody and visitation, Roy believes that every clients wants and deserves to be given honest advice and to be well-represented in their time of need. Clients have found Roy’s lack of pretension and empathy refreshing and not at all what they expected from a lawyer.
