Erica

Erica practices exclusively family law. She specializes in divorce, legal separation, child custody, spousal support, and child support matters. Since becoming a member of the California Bar in 2004, Erica gained experience in all aspects of family law from mediated settlement agreements to contested cases. Erica focuses on working with each client to develop a strategy to fit with his/her individual needs to reach the best result for each client.

Prior to joining Merit Law Group in March of 2008, Erica worked as a Staff Attorney and Pro Bono Coordinator for the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law in Los Angeles, a non-profit law firm practicing exclusively family law. In addition to assisting her clients, Erica taught introductory family law Continuing Legal Education courses to attorney volunteers and community members. This experiences gives her the unique ability to breakdown the legal aspects for clients and walk them through the oftentimes complicated legal process.

During law school at UC Hastings, Erica acted as Editor-in-Chief of the Hastings Women's Law Journal and volunteered extensively in the community, including the Civil Harassment Restraining Order Clinic, Youth Law Center, and the San Diego Public Defender Dependency Division.
